JUST FRUIT AND VEG
02 November 2010

Not to be outdone by Ububele Dairy Products, Just Fruit and Veg has also a new noteworthy addition to their customer base.

Much has been publicised in the media about the imminent deal between America’s Wal-Mart and South Africa’s Massmart. Ububele’s stakeholders are informed that Ububele will also be indirectly in this ”mix”!

The wholly owned Ububele subsidiary Just Fruit and Veg has entered into an agreement to supply the newly formed Foodco supermarkets inside GAME stores. GAME, of course, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Massmart. Deliveries commenced on 27 October 2010 to the first GAME/Foodco store at NI City, near Cape Town. The planning is to commission the next GAME /Foodco on 01 December 2010. A third supermarket has also been announced already.

Just Fruit and Veg’s offering to GAME/Foodco is a comprehensive basket of pre-packaged fruit and veg.

A positive spin-off is the creation of 5 new jobs.

050.JPGIt is with great pleasure that the Board announces that it has commissioned Stephan Roux, an existing Executive Director, to drive the Ububele Group’s environmental sustainability practices and performance. At Ububele we know that being an efficient and profitable business and being a good steward of the environment are goals that can work together.
